How It Works

At W. O. Sheeran we offer secure self-storage for home and business.

Whether you’re new to storage or you’re an expert, the way we work is simple.  With 24/7 security, generous 6am-10pm daily access, flexible rolling contracts and automatic recurring payments, you can be sure of safe, reliable and hassle-free storage.

How to sign-up

Call us on 01606 836 877 or email us on enquiries@wosselfstorage.co.uk to check for availability. We will arrange an appointment for you to visit us on site to view the storage unit, then you will complete and sign our Licence Agreement and Terms and Conditions. We will take a copy of your photo ID, and you will pay the first rent payment and a £50 deposit by debit/credit card or cash, and set up your Direct Debit for future rent payments. We will then issue you with your keys and access fob, and you can begin storing straight away.

Renting a unit

When renting a unit, we always recommend viewing the unit before you need to rent one. This gives you the ability to know what space is available, at what cost and it gives you the opportunity to familiarise yourself with the storage facility. We pride ourselves on keeping a clean and safe facility at all times for the safety and security of your goods.

To rent a unit with us we require a completed licence agreement and a form of photo ID. This is a necessity and the unit cannot be rented without this.

To then rent the unit you must pay the first 4 weeks of rental in advance and a £50 refundable deposit for the unit keys and gate fobs This can be taken by Card or Cash. We will also require your bank details to set up standing order or card details so that the payments can be taken automatically on the due date. We will invoice you via email 5 days before the payment is due, and if you’re paying by standing order or automatic card payment these invoices will be for your information only.

We do not offer any insurance and arrangements for this must be made via your own insurance provider, or we can direct you to a company that specialises in insurance for items in storage, the link can be found on our website.

Using a removal company

If you decide to use a removal company or man-and-van service, you will need to be on site to grant access and open your storage unit, we cannot do this on your behalf.

Accessing your storage unit

You can access your storage unit 6am-10pm every day of the year, using your access fob or ANPR to open the electronic gates, and your unique key to open the padlock. You can drive straight up to your storage unit to load and unload.

Paying your storage fees

You pay your rent at the start of every four-week rental period. The preferred way to pay is via Direct Debit. We can also accept debit or credit card payments, and cash. Find out more about storage unit sizes and prices.

Cancelling your contract

Every contract is a rolling four-week contract, which you can cancel at any time by giving us four-weeks notice. Assuming all is well, i.e. there is no damage to the storage unit and all keys and fobs are returned, we will refund your £50 deposit as soon as you vacate.

Site security

Our site has 24/7 remote CCTV monitoring. The access gate is electronic, secured with ANPR cameras and registered fob access. You have the only keys to the secure padlock on your unit. The site is fenced and floodlit.

Insuring your goods

We do not offer insurance for your goods. You are welcome to arrange your own insurance, but we do not require goods to be insured in order to store with us.

If you lose your key or fob

If you lose a key or fob, you will forfeit your £50 deposit. If you need us to provide a replacement, you will need to pay another £50 deposit to secure it.

Banned items

You must not store living creatures, illegal goods, or dangerous, hazardous, toxic, combustible or flammable substances or materials.

Vacating the unit

When you wish to vacate your unit, the usual term of notice is 4 weeks.

Once you have returned to us all your unit keys and gate fobs, and the unit is returned to us in the original rental condition, and there are no outstanding monies, then we would make arrangements for the return of your £50 deposit.
